Revelation 7:11-12 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, saying: “Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!”

This powerful picture in the book of Revelation provides you with great insight into the culture of the Kingdom of God. It is a culture that we can enjoy now, down here on earth because of who we are in Christ.

There are three keys to carrying this “culture” in your life:

“Position” is important.

First of all, we are describing a place that surrounds the very throne of God. You cannot get any closer to the Lord than the elders and the four living creatures that surround the throne of God.

The Lord God is at the center of everything in the Kingdom of Heaven and this is the position that you need to give Him in your life. He is at the center of everything – your family; your career; your ministry; your finances – everything.

“Posture” is important.

They have fallen down, face first before the Lord their God. They may have been in this posture for a billion years but the power and the majesty of the Lord is so magnetic and attractive that they cannot even begin to lift themselves off that floor.

This is the only posture that brings honor before the Lord. He is lifted up as the Highest in your life.

“Praise” is important.

What they are declaring are seven eternal truths about God. He deserves your “praise” forever and ever; He is to be “glorified” forever and ever; He is infinite “wisdom”; His grace and mercy will cause you to remain “thankful” for eternity; He has all the “honor”; the “power” and the “strength” forever and will remain the eternal source of all these things!

No wonder the elders and four living creatures cannot remove themselves from this place.

You do not need to wait until you are in heaven to enjoy this culture. We are actually called to bring heaven to earth. In the same way these elders, living creatures and angelic hosts of heaven magnify the Lord God, we are called to do likewise on earth.

Can you imagine our worship services bringing this culture of heaven upon earth?

Every time we bow our hearts to the Lord, lift our hands and allow praise to flow from our mouths, we are inviting the culture and the presence of heaven in our midst. Become a person who worships the Lord. Never allow yourself to walk into church late. Be on time, prayed up and adopt this position, posture, and praise we witness in the throne room of heaven.

Worship is the position, posture and praise that attracts the presence of God.
