God of immeasurably more…

In my Christian walk, I have found some areas that are so easy to give to God. In the area of my job and finances, I have seen God do so many incredible things. In 2018, I worked in China and commuted from there to Hong Kong every Sunday to attend services at C3 Church Hong Kong. At the end of my contract, I began looking for a new job. Pastors Wayne and Mary declared over me that I would receive multiple offers. I was blessed to receive multiple offers, including a great position in Shanghai. However, in my heart, I knew that being planted in a faith-filled, grace-filled church was extremely important. After turning down these offers, I received an offer from the same school in Hong Kong. On top of that, I had been unsuccessful in my interview for this school just two months before! As a believer, I know I can stand wholeheartedly on the Word of God and expect great things! Luke 18:27 Jesus replied, "What is impossible with man is possible with God."

However, for a long time, I struggled to let God lead in the area of relationships. As a believer, I always felt led to have a relationship with another believer. When I didn’t see this happening, I took it into my own hands. Each time I dated a non-believer, it seemed on the outside it was fine. However, on the inside, I would often feel condemnation and God nudging me to end the relationship. I now know it was because God had something better in store!

When I started dating my now fiancé, it was completely different! On our first date, we talked about church, life, and things God has done. I knew from the very beginning, that he loved God, and He was always praying for me. God encouraged me that this is the man I have been praying for. He is secure in Christ, and that security flows into our relationship. Over time I have learned that these qualities far outweigh the list of qualities I had for my potential spouse.

During Covid-19 we have been able to watch C3 Church online and eCharis together. Listening to the Word together has helped me to see him as God does! It has washed away any doubts and dissolved any disagreements that we have had. As His beloved daughter, my heart is so grateful for what God has done, and I know that the God of immeasurably more is just getting started.
