Romans 5:17 For if by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
As a Believer, are you aware that royal blood flows through your spiritual veins?
There is a crown of favor placed upon your head, a ring of sonship is upon your finger and a royal robe of righteousness clothes you. The Bible says you are the head and not the tail, you are above and not beneath. (Deuteronomy 28:13)
I know in our politically correct world today one does not go around saying you belong to a higher class than someone else, but I am not saying it, God is the One who says it.
He says if you are a Believer, you are His child and His favor is upon you, unlike an unbeliever. Now, God loves the unbeliever and His plan and purpose for them is that they will receive His Son. But if they choose not to, they cannot claim this favor and royalty upon their life.
But you can if you are conscious of it. With this royalty, we are called to reign as kings with Christ Jesus who is the King of Kings!
Now I don’t think this means you start carrying the posture of a heavyweight boxer just before his fight or gloating about your riches and power.
Christ shows you the posture of that royal power. He humbled Himself to the very lowest place and allowed God to exalt Him into the highest place. (Philippians 2:8,9) That’s the kingdom tone of royalty that reigns in life. You don’t need to boast in yourself, rather boast in the Lord and His favor will exalt you as the head and not the tail.
Christ also shows you the purpose of that royal power.
He said in Luke 10:19 that all authority has been given to you to trample over the power of the enemy. Paul reveals in Ephesians 6:12 that your real opposition is not people but spiritual powers of darkness. They are the real opponent and the real reason for your power to reign in this life.
With this authority from Christ, we are called to reign and rule over the power of the enemy in this world. How? Through the abundant grace of God and His gift of righteousness. (Romans 5:17) Grace and righteousness are powerful – they are gifts from the Lord Jesus and they are your power to reign and rule in this life!
Declare that abundant grace and gift of righteousness over your life daily!
I anoint myself daily with oil as a declaration of that grace (favor) of God that is upon my life! I partake of the holy communion daily which proclaims the Lord’s death - it's declaring to all the powers of darkness what Jesus purchased for me upon the cross – health, life, forgiveness, righteousness, and no condemnation!
C’mon, give me a big Amen!
