NEVER FEEL GUILTY

John 9:1-3 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him”.

One of the names of the devil is “the accuser of God’s people” (Revelation 12:10) and true to his name, the devil’s primary strategy against you is to prosecute you and accuse you of all the things you have done or might be wrong!

The devil’s work is to establish a foundation of guilt and condemnation at the very root of your life. He wants to attack Christ’s work of righteousness within you through His grace.

The devil understands if he can undermine you through guilt and condemnation, he can then keep you in a place of fear, worry, stress and all kinds of physical and mental sicknesses that flow out of these.

He will try to make you feel guilty and condemned that you are not a good husband or wife, or father or mother. He’ll try to accuse you of not being a good son or daughter or student. He will try to make you feel guilty and condemned in every area of your life where you feel you may have failed – he will even try to make you feel guilty when you are sick!

Even when the church is teaching the power of healing through the Holy Communion, if you are sick, the devil will try to make you feel bad. Understand the preaching of God’s Word is to produce faith within you to receive from God, but the devil will attempt to rob you of faith through doubt, unbelief or condemnation. He will even try to make some Believers feel guilty for going to a doctor or hospital.

Listen to me – guilt and condemnation do not come from God, but the accuser, the devil.

Understand that all healing, whether it’s through a pharmacy, a doctor or supernaturally, will always give glory to the Giver of Life – Jesus. Doctors and hospitals do not come from the devil but exist to help people recover and receive their health. Praise God for hospitals, doctors, nurses, and medicines.

But like the man born blind in our scripture today, hospitals and the health services can only do so much. There are still diseases and situations that go beyond the abilities of man and require the miraculous of God. This is why we need to continually build and create an environment of faith in people – so they can turn to Jesus and receive from Him.

So when you are in church and receiving such teaching, or reading daily devotions, even if you are sick, don’t feel guilty or condemned by the accuser the devil, just continue to thank Jesus and receive His gift of health. Even if you have to go to the doctor to receive treatment or the pharmacy, continue to believe and receive your healing. Doctors are on your side!

When you are sick, don't feel guilty or condemned, just believe that your healing is on its way!
