Jesus Is My Refuge & Fortress

I have been attending C3 church for many years now. As a single Mom in my 50's, I work in Hong Kong to support my family financially. Although my monthly income is less than HKD5,000, every single month I bring my tithes to the Lord. Besides taking my transportation allowance to go to church on Sundays, I send the rest to support my daughter and grandchild in the Philippines. I don't eat in restaurants on Sundays after church, rather, I bring rice and egg or some bread to have my lunch in the park. When it comes to money, I always put God first, and I don't mind not having the luxury of food or clothes. I just fully trust in the Lord with all that I got, no matter how little it is.

Last year, there was a super typhoon that hit my hometown in the Philippines. I remember it was a Saturday midnight, I knew the strong wind and heavy rain was battering my house with my family inside, and the house was the only possession I have. God is a good God, He kept me in perfect peace, and because I know Jesus is my refuge and my fortress, I trust He would protect my house and my family. On the next day, I heard that all of the neighboring trees and houses near my house were crashed down, but my house stood still, and my family was safe and sound! I was in joy and tears to share this miracle with my church family! Praise and glory to our God!
