According to the power that works in us.
How much power is working in you right now? God’s Word says that there is “power that works in us”. It is an unlimited power that shakes the heavens and the earth because it comes from the throne of God.
This power is able to do “exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think”. The problem, however, is that many of us do not release that power – the switch is turned off.
God wants you to release that power within you because there are things that will not happen down here on planet earth – in your life, your family's life, your career, your church… until you release the power of God within you. Jesus said, “whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven”. (Matthew 16:19) In other words, what Jesus is saying is whatever you permit to happen, heaven will permit. Whatever you disallow, heaven will disallow when you are declaring God’s Word in the Name of Jesus.
How do we release this power?
I’ve just revealed two ways:
1. Declaring the Word of God into your situation – angels act to fulfill the Word of God coming out of your mouth (Psalm 103:20).
2. The Name of Jesus – that Name has all authority and you have the right to use it a child of the Most High God. But another way to release that power is by praying in your heavenly language – i.e. praying in tongues. 1 Corinthians 14:14 says he who prays in a spiritual tongue, prays in the “spirit”. Boom!
Praying in tongues is probably the greatest way to release the power of God because it is the Holy Spirit praying on your behalf! (Romans 8:26)
I wake up early to pray. Most of my praying is praying in the Holy Spirit. I am releasing the power of God over my day; over my family; over my church; over my city! I am releasing the power of God into the lives of people that I am standing with and believing to see the power of God turn situations around in their lives.
When you pray this way it is like your prayers are ‘turbocharged’ – and the ultimate outcome of the prayer is exceedingly abundantly above anything or everything that I could have asked or even hoped for. Praying in your heavenly language is how you can activate and release Ephesians 3:20 in your life.
Don’t settle for just getting by. Turn on the switch by praying in tongues and allow the power of God to exceedingly and abundantly surpass everything that you could have hoped for!
