RIGHT BELIEVING LEADS TO RIGHT LIVING

Matthew 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

Jesus’ words reveal to us that our life is simply a reflection of what is hidden and stored up in our hearts.

Many people think if they could just change the circumstances that surround them, they would then have the life they want. The truth is, even if you change your circumstances on the outside, whatever is stored up in your heart is what will prevail in your life. That's why many lottery winners end up broke again!

If you want to change something about your life, the solution is not to change your circumstances, but to change what is in your heart – specifically, it is changing what you believe.

Here’s the spiritual truth in Matthew 12:35, for every area of weakness, failure or defeat in your life, you will have some wrong believing that is causing that area of weakness, failure or defeat.

In other words, “Right believing always leads to right living and vice versa”.

This was true for a person who was addicted to smoking and could not quit. He was a Christian and wanted to quit because he knew it was an unhealthy habit that would cause him many more problems later in life. He was filled with condemning thoughts about this habit and it became impossible for him to give it up.

Then one day he heard a preaching on “You are the righteousness of God” and your body is the “temple of the Holy Spirit”. That day, he received a spiritual revelation of that truth – it was like a deposit of truth had dropped into his spirit and the “light” came on within him. The more he dwelled on that truth the deeper it sunk into his spirit and filled his heart.

What then began to happen was the beginning of a miracle. Every day he carried this truth in his heart that he was the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus and his body was the temple of the Holy Spirit. Now, he was still smoking as it was an addiction and he could not control it. But every time he lit up another cigarette, this was the truth he continued to carry in his heart. And after a period of time, it started to become the abundance of his heart.

And that's when it happened! The smoking addiction began to dissolve. What Jesus said was beginning to happen. The good that he believed about himself in his heart, is what began to spring forth in his life and the smoking addiction eventually dissolved altogether.

The Word of God begins to change you when you receive a personal revelation of the Word in your spirit. Hearing the preaching or reading the Word of God with belief in your heart will cause it to become planted in your heart. It’s not head knowledge, it’s heart knowledge.

This revelation of God’s Word in your heart is the beginning of a transformed life.

What do you need deliverance from? What addictions, temptations, behaviors, beliefs do you need to be set free from? Start hearing and believing the word of God and you will eventually receive it as a personal revelation.
